(Total nod to chaos theory.) Auggie attempts to get the world back to normal and fails. Doy and Ava are dressed as butterflies for Halloween. *pouts* Riley allllllmost gets the vet thing out of Bitter Cowboy Lucas, but fails. If they talked like this in regular continuity, I would nevvvvvver question their grip on reality when they say they "talk so well." I want to talk about it NOW because I think it proves a few (positive) things I've been saying about the Rilucas dynamic for a very, very long time now and it works even better in a universe where the mutual idealization never happened. It's a stark, stark contrast to NormalWorld Rilucas. Bitter Maya's bullying causes a Rilucas conversation and it is LITERALLY THE BEST CONVERSATION THEY'VE EVER HAD IN THE HISTORY OF THE ENTIRE SERIES. There's something up with Auggie in this universe, and they give it away with a visual earlier in the episode. "Why don't you have any friends?" (Riley to Lucas) Cory only teaches names and dates. (Made me think of the Tin Man at the end of the Wizard of Oz, but it's not heart-shaped.) "Are you as tough as you act?" Friar. Farkle wears a giant clock around his neck during a VERY over-the-top Farkle Time. He actively avoids Lucas on his way into class. Farkle is wearing his orange turtleneck (never got buried in this universe 😔) and a science/lab equipment button down. Bitter Cowboy Lucas notices and clearly takes an interest in this. She hits Lucy and Raven levels of hilarious IMO.) Bitter Maya is Riley's bully. Oh, and side note: Rowan's physical comedy is CRAZY on point in this episode. (She's suuuuuper juvenile in this episode.and wait'll you see who her "best friend" is, yikes. But in green and then red rather than in blue. Riley is styled in some very Dorothy-esque get-up. The bay window is shut on a very pivotal day. Then our Host Auggie shows up and asks, "What if we lived in a HalloweenWorld where everything was different?" and we switch to an alternate universe. Lucas suggests that him and Riley's relationship is the most important thing, but everyone (including Riley) responds with a lackluster "ehhhhhh." Zay's not there. Maya tells everyone but Riley they aren't important, and questions whether she herself is important.

I've finally gotten a grip on myself, so thanks for being patient! 💛 "What if people didn't change people?" In the real world: Farkle uses Lucas and Maya to demonstrate chaos theory (the butterfly effect). Okay, so y'all know by now that I'm prettttttty damn excited about this episode, so much so that I've had to put off making a teaser post because I keep wanting to sink my teeth in and talk alllllll about it.
